The three institutes in the Connacht-Ulster Alliance (CUA) are pleased to announce today (Wednesday 31 August 2021) that all three institutes have been awarded Athena SWAN Bronze. The Presidents of GMIT, IT Sligo and LYIT, Dr Orla Flynn, Paul Hannigan and Dr Brendan McCormack, paid tribute to the institutes’ Self-Assessment Athena SWAN teams for their great work undertaken over the past few years, resulting in the awarding of this coveted award today.
Seán Duffy, Executive Project Lead, CUA, says: “The CUA is delighted that our three partner Institutes have received the Athena SWAN Bronze award, which will serve to strengthen our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion as we progress to become a Technological University”.
