A CUA Institutional Research Repository A research depository has been created to increase dissemination of CUA research outputs (see http://cual.openrepository.com/cual )
RIAN Research Portal The contribution of the CUA to RIAN may be browsed at http://rian.ie/en/browseby/institutions Work on fine-tuning the harvesting of content by RIAN from CUAL (CUA Institutional Repository) is ongoing.
Reciprocal book borrowing for students of the CUA Students from each of the three IoTs can use the library facilities in each of the other IoTs. This improves access to CUA library facilities for students
Students Union Project: 'Fit in Body, Fit in Mind' This joint initiative between the three SUs in 2014 provided information and support to students and 2nd level pupils on the significant social issue of mental health.
Online academic quality assurance A set of common online student feedback forms have been developed.
Scoping of a cross-CUA online exams management system A tender specification has been prepared for software that will provide a more efficient and secure system of managing exam paper generation, approval and circulation
Joint staff CPD training initiatives To share the resources of staff training on an on-going basis
A CUA Data Sharing Protocol This was agreed at the outset of the CU Alliance Stage 1 process

Make joint submissions to the National Forum for Teaching and Learning Three CUA collaborative projects funded including (i) the development of a MOOC to improve the transition from 2nd to 3rd level education, (ii) Recognition of Prior Learning ePortfolio Roadshow (applied for)
Make a joint submission for a Postgraduate Programme in Professional Practice to HEA Using blended learning to train employees in business skills such as: working effectively in modern organisations; sustainability in business; products and services; and driving innovation
HEISME – a Northern Peripheral Artic Programme This CUA-led initiative, initially funding as a preparatory project, will develop tools to enhance the business support services interaction between HEIs and SMEs in peripheral regions.

Joint application for delegated authority for research degrees Registrars preparing a common approval process, under QQI DA policies, for making research awards up to Level 9
